Highlights from the National Festival

SALFORD

Every year we partner with The Lowry for an Eid Musical Celebration and with the School of Arts, Media and Creative Technology at the University of Salford, for the annual Muslim Arts Awards.

MANCHESTER

We are proud to partner with Manchester Central Library and the Manchester Lit and Phil Society for exciting panels exploring various themes and literature.

ROCHDALE

We celebrated Muslim heritage and culture at Hopwood Hall College for a MACFEST Multi-Arts Festival! This was an amazing event with lots of students participation!


We were delighted to also partner with Rochdale Festival of Literature and Ideas and Touchstone Museum and gallery to host a wonderful poetry and music event with Gulcin Bulut and the Al Sahba to celebrate the poetry of Rumi.

WIGAN

We are delighted to partner with Wigan Library for an immensely popular  Mosaic Art Workshop with a celebrated Visual Artist & Creative Arts Practitioner Zareena Bano from Bradford. Zareena works in the area of mental health & well being, making a difference through art. 

WARRINGTON

We are also delighted to partner with  Culcheth Library in Warrington  to host a wonderful Persian Painting Workshop with Atefeh Seifi, one of the winners of the inaugural Muslim Arts Awards.

BRADFORD

Feversham School together with MACFEST is celebrating the diversity of cultures with their students! This vibrant event is a unique opportunity to showcase the rich cultural diversity within the community, bringing together students from various backgrounds to share their stories, traditions, and heritage. 

TRAFFORD

We partnered with Stretford Public Hall for a screening of a documentary 'We are Not Princesses' which follows a group of Syrian women, living in Beirut, who find hope through art.

STOCKPORT

MACFEST joins Stockport War Memorial Art Gallery in celebrating  arts and culture!


We hosted a full day of art, exhibitions and cultural activities, with the local dignatories, including the Mayor of Stockport Cllr Linda Holt. We also got a visit from the Lark Hill primary school children.

BOLTON

We are delighted to partner with Bolton Museum and Art gallery for the first Bolton Muslim Arts & Culture Festival in 2020.

BURY

We were delighted to partner with Bury -  the Met. A journey through the Middle East in the West with The BAME Project.  Aesthetic Arabic Calligraphy, Heavenly Henna Painting, Authentic Asian Food tasters all under one roof!

OLDHAM

We hosted MACFEST at Oldham College. We will also host Oldham Main community MACFEST later in the year, in partnership with Oldham Gallery and Oldham Library and Learning Centre.

HUDDERSFIELD

We are delighted to partner with Huddersfield Literature Festival to host a poetry and music event at the Lawrence Batley Theatre.

The event is postponed due to Corona virus until next festival.

LIVERPOOL
